Deck the Windows Contest
Once again downtown businesses are competing for best dressed window displays for the holidays. The theme this year is Holiday Movies and store owners will decorate their storefront windows to represent a favorite holiday flick. It's up to the public to figure out what movie they are depicting. Entry forms can be picked up at our office or downloaded starting December 1st. All correct entries will go into a drawing for a valuable downtown prize!

Holiday Happenings!

Visit downtown Puyallup for our own Miracle on Main Street. See the streets decorated with festive twinkle lights, snowflakes and banners. Watch Santa arrive in style during the annual Santa Parade. Bring the kids down to pet a LIVE reindeer then have them build their own gingerbread house or create a craft project. Take in a holiday concert performed by local musical groups and find the perfect gift to give to someone special in your life. It's all happening right here in Downtown Puyallup!


Santa Parade
December 6 -- 4 p.m.

Come downtown for a true hometown holiday experience! The Puyallup Santa Parade has been a family tradition for many years. Watch local marching bands, lighted floats, civic groups and more march proudly down Meridian from Main Street to 4th Ave. SW. Santa arrives aboard one of Puyallup's Fire Trucks to the delight of everyone, young and old.

Afterwards, take in the festivities at the Pioneer Park Pavilion. They'll have their annual Children's Tree Lighting Ceremony and plenty of free hot chocolate and goodies courtesty of the Puyallup Senior Center.

Miracle on Main Street
December 12 & 13

This season, Main Street will be the place to be to find the spirit of the holidays. Bring the kids down to see two of Santa's live reindeer. Have their pictures taken with the jolly old elf then have them build a gingerbread house while watching a classic children's movie.

There will be vendors with handmade gift items and local musical groups performing traditional songs of the season.

Reindeer: Friday & Sat. Noon-5:00 pm

Gingerbread House: Sat. 1:00-4:00 pm
(Call ahead to reserve a space for your child! 253-840-2631) Cost to participate is two non-perishable food items per child. The Puyallup Food Bank and Distribution Center will be taking donations that day so please bring as many items as you can.


All She Wants for Christmas
December 19 & 20

Are you a last minute shopper? Someone on your list hard to shop for? Then come to downtown Puyallup! Local merchants will be offering "Wish Lists" to fill out with items that can be purchased in their shops. Have your special someone fill one out and the merchant will contact you by postcard or email letting you know that a Wish List item has been selected in their store.

Come down on December 19 or 20 and receive 10% or more off the item OR a special service or gift. It's that simple! No more wondering what to buy her and she'll receive exactly what she wants!
